My Story

Born in Southern California to two artists, Hannah Montante was inspired at a young age by fiction writers such as Louis Carroll and Lemony Snicket, as well as songwriters like The Beatles, leading her to discover her own absurdist and dreamlike writing style. She is currently editing her middle grade mystery-comedy novel, drafting a gothic fantasy novel based on several of Grimms' fairy tales, and working on an indie music project under the name Hannah Sloane.

Hannah earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and a dual Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Master of Arts in English from Chapman University. At present, she is a Development Writer for Donor Relations at her alma mater.
